Swing Dance Anyone?

Community Education is offering an Intermediate Swing Dance class, Feb. 9, 16, 23 and March 1st. Classes will be offered at 6:30pm in the high school dance studio. Classes coming up right away include: Yoga Gold, Basic Pottery, Greeting Card Making, Quilted Bags, Creating Your Own Web Page, Boxing, Lap/Open Swim, Tai Chi, ACT Math Prep and Swing Dancing! Senior Tax Exchange Program Coming to the River Falls Schools!

Community Education trip to the MN Landscape Arboretum

The Senior Tax Exchange Program (STEP) has begun in the River Falls School District. Participants of the program will work in the schools for 69 hours or more during the school year and will receive $500 to go towards their property taxes. Seniors may tutor students in reading, help out at school events and other duties as needed. Seniors will be matched up to positions according to their areas of expertise. Area seniors who own a home in the district, and are 62 or older are eligible to participate. A pilot program has been setup at Rocky Branch Elementary and is set to accept 10-15 seniors early this fall. Tara Albores is the new Vol. Coordinator/STEP Coordinator
and will work part-time at Rocky Branch.
